22 March 2007 COMPLETED - Taster Session A one hour introduction to fencing led by Malcolm Allton and Sylvia Brown. Both are qualified coaches and very experienced fencers who have represented Great Britain. Ideal for those who want to find out what fencing is about before committing to the full Beginners course. 
20 Sept 2007 COMPLETED - Beginners 8 sessions of 1.5 hours run over a period of 9 weeks. The course will be led by Malcolm Allton and Sylvia Brown who will teach you the basics of fencing using foil. Both are qualified coaches and very experienced fencers who have represented Great Britain. 
17/1/2008 COMPLETED - Beginners 8 sessions of 1.5 hours run over a period of 9 weeks. The course will be led by Malcolm Allton and Sylvia Brown who will teach you the basics of fencing using foil. Both are qualified coaches and very experienced fencers who have represented Great Britain. Cost £95 (which includes insurance cover provided by social membership of the BFA). 
22/11/2007 COMPLETED - Further Foil 4 weekly 1.5 hour sessions which will add indirect and compound attacks, circular and low line parries and other moves to the basic skills covered in the Beginner’s Course. Also useful for novice fencers wishing to revise some of these skills. Minimum of social membership of BFA required. Cost £40.
